Arcturus Mengsk rebuilds Korhal into the heart of his regime after rising to power. Augustgrad becomes closely tied to that imperial image and to the Dominion’s political center.

Blizzard’s Mengsk co-op material also uses the name in the Pride of Augustgrad, reinforcing the city’s association with elite Dominion prestige.

What happens in Augustgrad during Heart of the Swarm?

The fighting on Korhal culminates in the campaign against Arcturus. Augustgrad is part of the setting for the final struggle that ends his reign and opens the way for Valerian Mengsk to take power.
